Apology

My sincerest apologies to those of you who failed to see the sarcasm in my "Girl Gamers" post. I thought it was rather obvious, but clearly not.

For the record, I have absolutely no problem with women playing games. Women are people too (OMG, Shocker, right?) and have every right to do whatever they want with their spare time. My faked sexism was merely a way to express my surprise at the abundance of female gamers in Australia. There were very few in New Zealand, and surprised me to see so many here in Australia.

I can't say it wasn't off-putting, but that was due to my own inexperience of the situation, not for any restrictions I have fabricated that women should abide by. In fact, knowing that there are women who enjoy video games is rather pleasing. It shows that one day, I might be able to find a women that I can spend my life with. Because like hell am I ever marrying someone who doesn't share my passion for sitting at home playing games rather than actually living life.

I really didn't mean to offend anyone. I have a number of girl friends who play games and I have no real problem with it. But it was, 100% a joke. Maybe it was a bad one, and I'm sorry for that.
